CHICAGO (Mar. 31, 2021) —Related Midwest today announced a new partnership with Bowery & Bash, a Chicago-based high-end rental furniture firm, to offer customizable, fully-furnished rental residences at One Bennett Park, 500 Lake Shore Drive and Landmark West Loop. Through the new offering, residents can tap Bowery & Bash design experts to decorate a residence – from providing furniture, to kitchenware, to linens - with the firm’s extensive inventory of contemporary and vintage wares.
“The pandemic has shown us that our lives can change rapidly and as a result, we’ve seen demand spike for move-in ready residences,” said Tricia Van Horn, vice president of marketing and communications at Related Midwest. “For our residents who want a simplified, turnkey approach, the homes outfitted by Bowery & Bash boast thoughtful curation and delivers a sophisticated living experience that accommodates every need.”
Reflecting the distinctive style of each property, Bowery & Bash has designed a model residence at each building as a showcase of the refined collection of furniture and accessories available. Renters can choose the exact selections from the model residences for an additional monthly fee or renters can opt to work directly with Bowery & Bash designers to choose furnishings and accessories for any room in their apartment. Each residence can be uniquely designed to suit the preferences of the renter and can be delivered within a few days.
Launched in 2019, Bowery & Bash developed a niche curating sophisticated furnishings for film productions, luxury weddings and upscale corporate events. With the event industry on hiatus due to the pandemic, the firm launched a residential division in 2020 with the aim of reimagining home staging and rental furnishings. Over time, the firm has curated an impressive collection of contemporary and vintage pieces from hundreds of manufacturers, designers and collectors to create a signature aesthetic that artfully balances classic with cutting edge to create one-of-a-kind residential spaces.
“We bring soul to spaces, that’s our passion,” said Katie Ernst, founder and creative director of Bowery & Bash. “We draw on our set design experience to create spaces with character and feeling. We then search for the pieces that tell the story, down to the smallest details like the cookbooks placed in the kitchen and the throws accessorizing the living room sofa.”
Monthly pricing for the furnished units is tiered based upon the size of the residence and the range of items selected, such as cookware, cutlery, home electronics and linens.
