On January 15, Related Midwest EVP of Construction Don Biernacki honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King at South
Suburban College Foundation's MLK Business Brunch & Awards Ceremony, which brought together local business leaders whose service, advocacy and business excellence reflected Dr. King's values. Biernacki's keynote address featured insights on leadership, economic development and the vital commitment to supporting strong local communities.

In collaboration with CRG, Related broke ground at the Illinois Quantum & Microelectronics Park (IQMP), for the first phase of Quantum Shore Chicago, a 440-acre master-planned technology and innovation district along the Chicago lakefront. More than 500 guests, including Illinois city and state officials, project partners, labor leaders and community stakeholders, joined the celebration on the former U.S. Steel South Works site at 8080 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Together with Related Midwest and Related Affordable Foundation, After School Matters unveiled the "Build Chicago Together" art mural at HIRE360's new Training and Business Development Center. The mural showcases the strength and skill of Chicago's workers like those who will be launching their careers or small businesses thanks to HIRE360's workforce development. 

Rising at the confluence of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, 400 Lake Shore will reshape the skyline with two residential towers, creating a visual gateway to the city at the place of its founder, Jean-Baptiste Point DuSable. 400 Lake Shore will bring new luxury and affordable housing options along the lakefront as well as add 4.5 acres of open and green space

Related Midwest is proud to develop large, multi-bedroom apartments in affordable housing buildings across Chicago. This kind of housing allows entire families to live together and thrive in vibrant neighborhoods strengthening the city of Chicago. 

In collaboration with The Department of Housing and The Chicago Housing Authority, Related broke ground on Roosevelt Square Phase 3B. Formerly the site of the ABLA public housing project, Roosevelt Square is a 160-acre multi-phase, mixed-income development that will ultimately bring more than 2,000 housing units to Chicago's Near West Side.
