Related Midwest unveils experiential on-site leasing center and Kara Mann-designed model residences at OneEleven

Following strong pre-leasing momentum, building is already 30 percent pre-leased as first residents move in July 1

Related Midwest announces it has unveiled and opened its experiential on-site leasing center and six Kara Mann-decorated models at OneEleven, offering the first look inside the much-anticipated 60-story ultra-luxury rental tower at 111 W. Wacker Drive as it welcomes first move-ins July 1. Featuring 504 apartment residences and a prominent address overlooking the Chicago River, OneEleven brings a sophisticated new rental lifestyle to Chicago’s Loop with its mix of exceptional amenities, hotel-level services and notable design.

“It is always a proud moment when we unveil a new building, but this is especially true with OneEleven,” said Curt Bailey, president of Related Midwest. “We introduced Chicago to the rental lifestyle Related is known for last year with the opening of 500 Lake Shore Drive, and now we’re bringing that same residential experience to a beautiful, unique location on Chicago’s riverfront. With our leasing center and models open and first residents moving in, we’re excited to be able to showcase what the building offers inside and out.”

OneEleven is already more than 30 percent leased since pre-leasing began in April, underscoring the strong demand for upscale rentals in downtown Chicago.

“Every inch of OneEleven is dedicated to providing city renters the sophisticated lifestyle they expect of a five-star building in this vibrant, urban setting,” Bailey said. “The response has already been tremendous, and now that prospective renters can see our vision on-site, OneEleven is certain to be one of the most sought-after luxury rental addresses in the city.”

Related Midwest partnered with New York-based Handel Architects to design a soaring glass tower that incorporated a partially constructed base formerly designed as a hotel and condominium tower by a previous developer. Using a recessed glass ribbon that winds up and around the building, Handel seamlessly connected the original base with the new tower, referencing adjacent building heights and creating opportunities for green spaces and balconies that offer impressive views of downtown Chicago, according to Gary Handel, president of the firm.

Related also called upon noted Chicago- and New York-based interior designer Kara Mann to create a distinctive look for the building’s lobby and select amenity spaces. “I took my lead from the building’s location and architecture, and my approach to the interiors at OneEleven was sophistication with a dose of urban edge,” said Mann. “It was important to create common spaces that felt like home—but a home that is cool and fun and where everyone wants to hang out. We layered materials such as concrete, bronze, mahogany and mohair to evoke a timeless, rich sophistication, and also used graphic wall coverings, edgy art and communal seating for that push of urban extreme.”

Kara Mann Design also created the six decorated model residences at OneEleven. The models showcase studio, convertible and one- and two-bedroom floor plans available in the building, as well as the rich interior finishes included in each apartment. Residences at OneEleven feature wide-plank flooring throughout living areas, Snaidero cabinetry, polished quartz countertops and white marble mosaic tile backsplashes in kitchens, 9- to 10-foot ceilings, spacious customized closets, stainless steel appliances and full-size washer and dryer units.

Also complete and now open at OneEleven is a full suite of building amenities, including Club OneEleven on floors 28 and 29. With more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space, Club OneEleven includes lounge areas with city and river views, billiards and screening rooms and a world-class fitness center overlooking the river. The amenity level also features an indoor spa pool with a retractable wall that opens to a two-tiered sun deck and terrace, complete with a fire pit, private cabanas and outdoor kitchens. On the 19th floor, residents can take advantage of the building’s on-site pet amenity featuring an indoor play area, grooming station and outdoor dog run. Zipcars and electric car-charging stations will also be available.

Residents will also be able to take advantage of the live-work-play lifestyle afforded by the building’s Loop location, on the edge of Chicago’s central business district and a short walk from popular shopping, dining and entertainment destinations in adjacent neighborhoods like River North and the West Loop.

“The Loop is one of the fastest-growing downtown districts in the country, and for good reason,” said Bailey. “With an influx of new jobs bringing more people to the area and the ability to walk to work as well as nearby cultural attractions like the Theater District, award-winning restaurants, the Chicago Riverwalk and even Millennium Park and Lake Michigan, you can’t beat the energy and activity of this area.”

OneEleven continues Related’s commitment to world-class service, offering exclusive benefits through its RelatedStyle Services® program to cater to residents’ every need. This service platform encompasses a commitment to every detail that makes a residence a home, beginning the moment renters sign their lease. The extensive service staff at OneEleven includes a 24-hour concierge and doorman as well as package receiving and dry cleaning services. The building’s experienced staff also includes a Resident Service Specialist on-hand to arrange everything from entertainment and home management services to full move-in coordination services. Residents also have access to a Related Technology Concierge to help with home technology installation and troubleshooting.

“With our first move-ins taking place July 1, we’ve already had a number of residents taking advantage of our move-in coordination services,” said Bailey. “It’s a fantastic introduction to the level of service and care they’ll continue to experience as residents of the building.”

The building also follows Related’s nationwide commitment to green and sustainable building. OneEleven was designed to meet LEED® Silver certification standards, and the building will be 100 percent smoke-free.

OneEleven’s on-site leasing center is now open seven days per week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Apartments at OneEleven include studios, convertibles, and one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, including penthouses. Rents begin at $1,895. For leasing information, call (312) 850-0111 or visit OneElevenChicago.com.
