Mary Killion is Vice President at Related Midwest. Since joining Related in 2017, she has led a team of accounting professionals responsible for providing comprehensive construction and project accounting services across the company’s portfolio of mixed-use, mixed-income, affordable and luxury developments.
In her role, Killion leads financial operations for the company’s real estate development portfolio, overseeing capital allocation across pre-construction planning and phased construction disbursements. Killion ensures Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) compliance for the company’s real estate development projects, directs the preparation of consolidated financial statements, manages audit engagements and coordinates tax compliance strategies with external advisors.
As a Certified Public Accountant, Killion applies advanced financial expertise honed through progressive leadership roles at top-tier real estate organizations. Prior to joining Related, she held key accounting and asset management roles at Friedman Properties, Northern Realty, Lillibridge, Landau & Heyman and JMB Realty. Killion graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with a concentration in accounting.
