Related Midwest joins the Movement to Beat Rare Cancers

Related Midwest was proud to join the broader Related community yesterday in this year’s Cycle for Survival fundraiser. The annual two-day event, founded in part by Equinox, Related’s exclusive lifestyle and wellness partner, raises money to beat rare cancers through a relay-style cycling race. The Related team kicked into high gear at the spirited stationary bike ride at Daley Plaza, alongside other corporate teams. So far, this year’s participants already raised over $27 million—outpacing 2022’s total of $26 million!

An incredible team of Equinox instructors inspired the cyclists to keep pedaling with pep talks and upbeat music. But the most inspirational part of the event was hearing the stories of survivors of rare cancers and their families. Rare cancer research tends to be underfunded—so events like Cycle for Survival are critical to supporting lifesaving research and clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a world leader in patient care, research and educational programs.

Cities across the country hold Cycle for Survival events throughout the spring. Related was proud to participate in fundraisers in Chicago, New York and Boston.

All the proceeds from Cycle for Survival go directly to the scientists and doctors conducting ground-breaking research to save the lives of those with rare cancers. This year’s event is part of Related Companies’ long history with Cycle for Survival. Related has raised money to help fight rare cancers for many years and we can’t wait to continue cycling together for this worthy cause in the future.
