Luxury residence The Row Fulton Market began move-ins in downtown Chicago. The Related Affordable Foundation, Related Midwest, and After School Matters, a nonprofit organization that provides life-changing after-school and summer program opportunities to nearly 19,000 Chicago teens each year have announced a new youth-led summer mural project in a continuation of their 10-year partnership. Teens worked collaboratively at Millennium Park to create this year’s mural for the HIRE360 warehouse titled “Building Chicago Together” showcasing the strength and skill of Chicago’s workers like those launching their careers or small businesses thanks to HIRE360’s workforce development support.

Project H.O.O.D., an organization committed to ending the cycle of poverty and violence in Chicago, kicked off construction of the Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center in Woodlawn, IL. In a continuation of a 10-year partnership, Related Midwest and LR Contracting have entered into a significant collaboration with the organization donating a wide array of services that will leverage its expertise in architecture, building design, and construction to help build the Opportunity Center that best serves the neighborhood. Related Midwest and LR Contracting look forward to bringing the community center to life and provide a place for youth and families to thrive. 

Related Midwest and LR Contracting along with the Japanese American Service Committee Housing Corporation (JASCHC) officially celebrated the renovation of Heiwa Terrace, a senior affordable housing community in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood. Heiwa, owned by JASCHC, was a turnkey development project by Related and the extensive rehabilitation work was completed by LR Contracting. As a result, residents now enjoy new modern apartments and community spaces where they can thrive and be together.
