Jacalyn Guon is Vice President of the Legal and Closing Department at Related Midwest. Guon has spent over 27 years with the company, overseeing a wide range of legal matters including real estate appeals, litigation, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, financings, and joint ventures relating to the projects across the company's portfolio of mixed-use, mixed-income, affordable and luxury developments.
While at Related Midwest, Guon has managed the transactions for thousands of residential units including those at Related Midwest’s highest profile assets such as One Bennett Park, 340 on the Park, 840 Lake Shore Drive, The Belvedere, The Pearson, Park Tower, Roosevelt Square, Cinema Lofts, Baypoint, The Mark, Fort Sheridan, The Regent, The Mayfair and Tower Lofts. Her experience has contributed to the success of several stalled condominium projects taken over by Related including Sixty West Erie, One Evanston, and South Loop Luxury.
Before joining Related Midwest in 1996, Guon worked at MCL Companies where she coordinated over 200 residential real estate closings per year. She is an active supporter of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Hazon, which support conservation and cooperation in protecting water and other natural resources. Ms. Guon earned her bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Kansas.
