Curt R. Bailey is the President of Related Midwest. He brings 20 years of executive real estate experience to this position, where he is charged with overseeing new and existing development opportunities throughout the Midwest with a primary focus on Chicago.

Leading a talented team of architectural planning and design, development, construction and professional services experts, Curt has responsibility for distressed asset strategy solutions and a luxury residential, mixed-use and adaptive re-use portfolio valued in excess of one billion dollars.

Curt came to Related Midwest from the Senior Vice President position at Duke Realty Corporation, where he oversaw nearly a billion dollars in national projects. Curt held previous executive development positions at Archon Group, a Goldman Sachs Company, and Opus North Corporation.

His active professional memberships include the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial & Office Properties and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He also serves on the board of directors for the Ounce of Prevention Fund. Curt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado.

Deborah Walters is the Chief Financial Officer, Related Midwest. Deborah oversees and reviews the preparation of Related Midwest financial statements, audits and budgets. She analyzes cash flows and expenses to guide senior management and provides tax planning and cash management leadership. She develops and maintains professional relationships with financing sources and works closely with other members of the development team.

During her 13 year career with Related Midwest, she also helped guide the development of an in-house computer system used in the design and construction process.

Deborah graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian, and graduated with distinction from DePaul University with a Professional Master of Science degree in Accounting.

Kerry Dickson is the Senior Vice President of Architecture and Planning, Related Midwest. He has direct responsibility for the planning, architecture and engineering development of, as well as the city and governmental approval process for, all of Related Midwest’s developments.

In Kerry’s 19-year tenure with Related Midwest, he has overseen the successful completion of over 30 projects. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Homebuilders Association of Greater Chicago. Additionally he is on the Board of HomeAid Chicago.

Kerry is a LEED Accredited Professional. Kerry graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies and a dual Master of Architecture/Master of Business Administration degree.

Donald Biernacki is Senior Vice President, Construction, Related Midwest. Don oversees the construction of all Related Midwest projects and manages a team of design and construction professionals who utilize a cohesive and collaborative approach toward development.

Since joining Related Midwest 18 years ago, Don has used his expertise in all areas of historic renovation, adaptive reuse and high-end residential development, to lead the successful construction of over 40 projects.

Don is a founding member of the Marquette University Center for Real Estate. Don graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Glen Krandel is Vice President of Information Technology, Human Resources and Office Administration, Related Midwest. Glen joined Related Midwest in 1991 as Controller/VP of Finance, and he now supervises and maintains Related Midwest’s server environment in four remote locations, as well as presides over software development, support and training. In addition to his IT responsibilities, Glen oversees the company’s administrative staff, human resources and payroll processing.

Early in his Related career, he served as Controller for Prism Mortgage Company (now RBC Mortgage), a related entity.

Glen graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
